Y-BIO : fractal pyramids

Fractal is a (…) fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts, each of which is (at least approximately) a reduced-size copy of the whole ” - this term was introduced by mathematician Benoît B. Mandelbrot in 1975.

Stellated octahedron or “extended octahedron”

was first discovered by Leonardo Da Vinci . After 100 years Johannes Kepler rediscovered and termed it as «Stella octangula» - octagonal star.

Stella octangula

In nature,
we can meet this polyhedron  as a double interlocking crystal.

Or its simple to imagine this object as a union of two tetrahedron.

ARCHINOMA architectural system

is developed to implement these geometric shapes into beautiful buildings for life and leisure in the open air.
